1. Open Access Policy
Integrative Biomedical Research (formerly Journal of Angiotherapy) is a Gold Open Access journal, ensuring all published articles are freely and immediately accessible online to everyone. There are no subscription fees. Publishing costs are covered by Article Processing Charges (APCs) paid after article acceptance.
2. Gold Open Access Model
All manuscripts go through a rigorous peer-review process conducted by independent external editors. Upon acceptance, an APC is required to cover:
- Editorial management and peer review
- Typesetting, layout, and formatting
- DOI assignment and indexing
- Online hosting and long-term archiving
Articles are published under a Creative Commons license, typically CC BY-NC-ND 4.0, unless another license is requested.
3. Article Processing Charges (APC)
- Standard APC: USD $550
- Fee is charged only upon article acceptance
- APC is separate from any optional services (e.g., print copies, color figures)
4. Waiver and Discount Policy
We promote inclusive publishing:
- Authors from low- and middle-income countries or lacking funding may apply for full or partial APC waivers
- Waivers must be requested during or immediately after submission
- Editorial decisions are made independently of waiver applications

5. Payment Terms & Refund Policy
- A pro forma invoice is issued upon article acceptance
- Payment is due within 30 days of final invoicing
- No refunds are provided after publication
- Withdrawal or cancellation is not allowed after publication

7. Institutional and Sponsored Support
We collaborate with institutions and partners to reduce or eliminate APCs:
- Institutional Membership Programs: Institutions may cover APCs for affiliated authors
- Society-Sponsored or Special Issues: May be funded entirely or partially by external sponsors
Authors should verify if their institution or funder has an agreement with us.
8. Journal Revenue Model
Integrative Biomedical Research is primarily funded through APCs, ensuring:
- Independence from subscription revenue
- Full transparency in operations
- Sustainable open access publishing
The journal is managed from the USA, and APCs support standard costs like office space, digital platforms, and editorial workflows.
