Open Access Publishing Policy

Open Access ensures free and immediate online access to scholarly content worldwide, enabling anyone to read, share, and reuse published research without restriction.

As a Gold Open Access publisher, Eman Research funds its high-quality publishing services through Article Processing Charges (APCs). Articles accepted after rigorous peer review by independent editors incur a publishing fee, which is typically paid by authors, their institutions, or funders.

Eman Research Publishing supports Gold Open Access to maximize the visibility and impact of authors’ work, facilitating unrestricted access to cutting-edge research.

Gold Open Access Model

Peer review and publishing involve costs that are not covered by subscription revenues. Therefore, Open Access content is financed through APCs.

Eman Research offers three Gold Open Access options:

  • Author Publication Fees: Authors may choose to publish their articles Open Access by paying a publication fee. This fee is separate from other charges such as color printing or reprints. The standard APC is USD $215. Journals providing Gold Open Access display an ‘Open Access’ link in the ‘For Authors’ section on their homepage.

  • Society-Sponsored Open Access: Some journals partially cover Open Access costs through sponsorship by scholarly societies. Subscription fees for these journals reflect content not published Open Access.

  • Sponsored Issues or Content: Occasionally, Open Access for all or part of an issue may be funded by external organizations or partners.

Licensing and Reuse

Gold Open Access articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND) license (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/), allowing users to:

  • Access articles freely online worldwide without subscription

  • Share, copy, and redistribute articles in any medium or format

  • Upload to personal, institutional, or public repositories with proper attribution

  • Use content for non-commercial purposes only, without creating derivatives

Authors requiring different Creative Commons licenses (including commercial use or derivative works) may contact the publisher to discuss options.

Author Benefits and Open Access Choice

Authors are offered the option to publish Open Access after their manuscript has been accepted. All articles, regardless of access choice, benefit from:

  • Rigorous peer review

  • Expert editorial support

  • Professional production services

  • Indexing through CrossRef and major abstracting services

Authors should discuss Open Access options with their production editor upon acceptance.

Fee Waivers and Support for Authors

Eman Research is committed to supporting authors who face financial barriers to publication. Options include:

  • Institutional Memberships: Collaborations with libraries, funding agencies, and consortia help cover APCs for affiliated authors.

  • Fee Waiver Program: Authors unable to pay APCs may apply for full or partial waivers through an online application. Waiver requests should be submitted before or immediately after manuscript submission to avoid delays. Editorial decisions remain independent of waiver applications.

Article Types and Fees

Eman Research publishes a broad range of article types, categorized to support diverse academic communities:

  • A-Type: Original Research, Clinical Trials, Reviews, Methods, Study Protocols, etc.

  • B-Type: Brief Reports, Case Studies, Perspectives, Mini Reviews, Policy Briefs, etc.

  • C-Type: Data Reports, Commentaries, Opinions

  • D-Type: Editorials, Book Reviews, Corrections, Special Challenges, etc.

Publication fees vary by article type and journal. Please consult the journal’s website for specific APC details.

Payment and Transparency

  • A pro forma invoice is provided upon manuscript submission for full APC transparency.

  • A final invoice is issued only upon article acceptance.

  • APCs are payable within 30 days of invoice date.

  • Fees are subject to periodic review; the applicable APC is the rate valid at submission.
